The main goal of the project is to start cross-border cooperation in the field of motivating children and youth to play sports. This main objective reflects the specific objective of Priority Axis 41 - Improving the level of cross-border interinstitutional cooperation and expanding cross-border cooperation between citizens and contributes to investment priority 11b Promoting legal and administrative cooperation between citizens and institutions. The fulfillment of the main goal will be realized by the newly established cooperation of two cross-border associations - which are also partners of this project. The specific measures will include the organization of an international sports camp for children and young people aged 11-18 from both participating border regions, which are economically less developed regions, in order to motivate children and young people to play sports and a healthy lifestyle and to support their fulfillment. their ambitions and personal goals. Another pillar of the project is the motivation of children to persevere, diligence and conscientiousness through well-known and successful personalities from the field of sports, the so-called project ambassadors. The project will involve two ambassadors, one from Slovakia and one from the Republic of Hungary. We will address athletes who have reached the very top of their discipline and who, with their lives and achievements, are a good role model for the children involved in the project. The project will be based on close cooperation with leisure centers, sports clubs and schools, as well as other organizations focused on children and youth of the Košice Region and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County.
