The aim of the project is to promote Tokaj Wine Region on both sides of the border. The attractiveness of the area goes beyond wine tourism, as both its natural endowments and its built environment offer rich sights. It is especially suitable for families with children, as the industrial activity in the area is negligible, so the environmental damage is not typical either. The aim of the project is therefore to create a complex, interdependent range of programs and services in the affected areas, able to meet the needs of families with children, which will ensure the strengthening of the region's position in the tourism market. The direct goal of the project is to organize joint (SK-HU) festivals based on local traditions and cultural values, which offer meaningful program opportunities primarily for children and young people. The indirect goal of the project is to increase the level of cross-border co-operation, to build the relationship between the Hungarian and Slovak settlements, the institutions and non-governmental organizations operating there, and to mediate the quality of the festival culture. As a result of the project, 2 family-friendly tourism development concepts (1 HU-1 SK) and a joint package of proposals will be completed, which will explore opportunities to strengthen the tourism potential. A bilingual short film will be made, with the help of which the participating border settlements will be able to communicate their values and traditions to a significant target audience along the border and beyond. 2 (1 HU-1 SK) three-day children's festivals based on high-quality cultural and local traditions of international significance will be organized, offering extremely meaningful programs.
