The project is implemented in close partnership between the European Border Cities EGTC and the Office of the city ward Košice - Sídlisko KVP. The partners are working together to find solutions to similar cultural challenges:
- It is considered important to present cultural traditions in order to strengthen local identity and population retention
- It is also considered important to hold new events in order to create a new tradition that can be carried on, because today, urban customs are unfortunately only about visiting shopping malls and watching everyday TV on a daily basis, although old traditions are much more fun. , and are more sublime in their values than our custom today, even though many of them already seem outdated. Folk traditions are important not only for the preservation of culture. These events, customs, celebrations help keep the community together.
Specific goals:
- Getting to know the institutions of the two organizations, establishing long-term cooperation in the field of culture and other fields - exchange of experience
- In order to strengthen the Hungarian and Slovak local identity and understanding between nationalities
- Organization of cultural experience events by expanding the range of cultural programs of cultural and public institutions and organizations
The results:
- In an extensive professional cooperation (workshops) an intensive exchange of cultural experiences and getting to know each other's culture takes place
- Cultural exchanges (winter festivals) provide an opportunity to deepen cultural dialogue between the professionals involved and the locals
- As a result of the joint creative process, we are developing common cultural service protocols, with the aim of exploring the means by which we can strengthen our cross-border relations.
