Slovakia and Hungary both face the unresolved problem that, although women make up more than 50% of society, they are disadvantaged and even marginalised in many areas of life when having children. The aim of the project is to strengthen and deepen the cooperation between the St. Gellért Pastoral Education Centre in Kassa and the Háromkő Youth, Nature and Culture Association in Miskolc, and to organise a series of high-quality, experience-based family days and programmes to strengthen and promote the family bond and improve the labour market and life situation of women. In addition to this, a 5-day joint event series with workshops and children's events will be organised in Hungary. In Slovakia, a 5-day summer camp with a varied, value-creating programme for families.
As a result of the cooperation, good examples and models will be passed on to the cross-border partner which have not yet been introduced on the other side (either because of local regulations or differences in social structures), but which could be good practices that work well locally.
Ongoing contact and communication will enable them to get to know each other's professionals. Participation in the project will improve the level of cooperation between NGOs, businesses and the general public. The project will help to strengthen the links between the people living in the border area.
