The combination of cultural heritage, folk traditions and modern art is one of the most important missions of the local governments of Beregdaróc and Debrőd participating in the project. In order to fulfill this mission, the partners are planning festivals, a series of exhibitions that combine common folk values and modern art, creative camps and a publication bringing the artistic values of the two regions closer to the general public, especially young people. In Beregdaróc, the Daróc Hemp Days is a very popular event in August, which is a magical tradition-preserving folk event where the organizing municipality provides participants with colorful cultural programs around the presentation of the folk craft of hemp processing. And in Debrőd, the St. László Day, held in June each year, deserves special attention, which is a large-scale festival and cultural event.

Nowadays folk culture is gaining popularity and there is a growing demand for related festivals and exhibitions. Thus, the organizers of the two festivals believe that they would like to promote these festivals, cultural and artistic treasures beyond the borders, and to provide programs for those living in the border region and for visitors from further afield. This will help to deepen the cooperation between the participating municipalities and the people living there, and the people living in the area will become more familiar with each other's culture, art and values. Thanks to high-quality festivals and exhibitions of international importance, the planned cultural events and related publications can become more widely known and popular, thus increasing the number of visitors to the area. The materials of the project will be available in both languages.
