The main aim of the project is to strengthen cooperation between organizations working for similar goals in the cross-border area, to establish long-term, institutionalized, cross-border partnerships, to develop joint professional programs, to transfer existing know-how and knowledge related to historical heritage and local cultural values. 
Within the project the staff members of the Gombaszög Development Association and the North-East Passage Association will participate in workshops and exchanges of experience to learn good practices, to develop joint programs and to deepen professional relations. The aim is to establish a long-term cooperation in which professionals from neighboring regions jointly promote the cultural and historical heritage in their settlements. 
The areas involved in the project have an extremely rich historical heritage from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, which the partners would like to introduce to the public in an interesting, entertaining way. Therefore, an innovative, interactive, experience-based, community program series will be created: thematic camps and various thematic tours on both sides of the border; and activities related to the presentation of historical heritage and local values: virtual 3D models, brochure, web subpage development. 
The "TIME TRAVELERS" project is the first joint project of the Gombaszög Development Association and the North-East Passage Association. The similar profile of the two organizations - archeology, historical and social sciences research, community building, preservation of local values – lays down the foundation for a successful, long-term collaboration.
