The primary objective of the project is to strengthen cooperation between organizations in the border area, to establish long-term institutionalized partnerships and to organize joint professional consultations and exchange of experiences in the field of industrial heritage.
The neighboring cities of Košice and Miskolc, which in the past competed with each other for the first time in the field of manufacturing and later as the second largest cities in their own country and as centers of the steel and machinery industries, played a similar role in their country. Therefore, it is natural for the generations to explore and care for the memories of common and parallel industrial development. Int he frame of the project, following a situation analysis, proposals will be made for the utilization of the industrial heritage sites in the area concerned, adapted to the needs of the present day.
We intend to achieve the planned results with the involvement of organizations and professionals interested in the preservation and utilization of the industrial heritage of Košice and Miskolc. A total of 6 workshops and 1 cross-border workshop will be organized, which will provide an opportunity for the exchange of experience and the establishment of professional cooperation. After completing a study visit to 1 tLodz and identifying good practices, the project will deliver the main result: a development concept for owners, and decision-makers of industrial property and objects, presenting ideas for each topic area (real estate groups, etc.) and provides practical guidance on its implementation and financing (EU, national and other sources).
