František Rákóczi is undoubtedly a historical personality whose moving life is weaven through our common past. His activities, family castles linked to his childhood, adolescence, rebellion and his death are scattered across four countries. Castles in Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine are actively used for tourism and increase the visibility of the Carpathians. The project partners, in order to increase the awarenes and attractiveness of the sites and exhibitions, have a great and lasting interest to  promote the historical cultural heritage and enable innovative  cultural pedagogy and experience in their premises. The aim of the project is to increase the visibility and attractiveness of the touristic offer  connected to the preservation and presentation of the historical cultural heritage. This  aim  will be achieved  through awareness rising, through exchanges of  best practices of  museum pedagogy and by expanding the joint offer of multimedia programs on both sides of the border. The outputs of the project will be: a common methodology of  museum  pedagogy, which will include innovative participative  activities for childrens, visitors and students.  as well as tools for the pilot introduction of the selected activities. In addition, information and promotional items will be deployed at all important information points in both regions. The joint organization of multimedia festivals in (Košice-Szerencs) will test the effectiveness of the promotion, methodology usability. These events will also lay the foundation for the regular future organization of children and youth exchanges during the summer holidays. The target group of the project is museum educators, school chidlren and teachers as well as domestic and foreign visitors  interested in František Rákóczy.
