Between 2011 and 2013 the villages Hercegkút and Malý Horeš /Kisgéres/ established a cross-border partnership to develop infrastructure in the field of gastronomy and wine tourism. Hercegkút has created promenades, resting places and organized events by the wine cellars of Kőporosi and Gomboshegyi which are part of the world cultural heritage. Malý Horeš /Kisgéres/ has built a wine court and a community centre/house/ next to its historical wine cellars.

In the supported regions the number of events connected with wine and gastro tourism, the cultural events and also the number of visitors have been doubled in the last few years /from 2500 to 5000/. Now it has become necessary to preserve the environment in the regions, to carry out the conversation of wine cellars and the parades, to create community places, to look after the wine cellars , to implement seasonal maintenances and tidying ,to organize 2-2 cultural events a year and to finance mobile facilities.

During the planned cultural events /Hercegkút wine Whitsun, Hercegkút Keller festival, Kisgéres blooming of acacia, Kisgéres cultural days/ the cultural and gastro groups of the two municipalities will together perform and participate. For this development we wish to use 85 % of the grands as a non-refundable financial assistance. The program priority ( PT4) and aim of the project is to contribute to the sustainable development of tourism, to provide professional and financial management, to organize cultural events, to buy small-scale facilities, to provide publicity to the regions. This development will involve 400 owners of wine cellars , producers, 2-2 cultural and folk groups /80 members/ and 5000-5000 visitors in the supported regions.
