The purpose of the project is to improve the level of cross-border cooperation between organizations engaged in the preservation of traditional culture in order to improve the services provided in this field.

Cooperating organizations aim to:
- increase the professional capacity of experts in traditional craft techniques, which are no longer widely known, to preserve the manifestations and elements of traditional culture for future generations through a conference in HU and a festival in SK,
- organize the Academy of Folk Craft in Rožňava with ethnographic lectures and workshops for the SK professional public focused on techniques of traditional craft products,
- organize the Summer Academy of Gemer Bobbin Lace in Hungary,
- publish a dictionary of Handicraft techniques in Slovak-Hungarian and Hungarian-Slovak language.

The activities will be carried out in close cooperation of both partners in order to provide the latest information from the craft production of some products in their educational services. During the socialist era, traditional values were 'alienated' and 'dishonored' and in today's globalized world people are becoming more interested in traditional culture and crafts and feel pride in traditions and folklore that are unique.  Both partners are dedicated to traditional culture, education and enlightenment in this area, and therefore, by sharing experience between experts on both sides of the border, they will provide better advice on craft production to local craftsmen and the general public, thus contributing to better mutual understanding between both nations. By publishing a small dictionary of the most commonly used terms and phrases in the SK-HU/HU-SK, mutual understanding in professional terminology in the cross-border area will be improved.
