The aim of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the territory on both sides of the border by promoting joint activities aimed at preserving cultural and natural values, which will also increase the number of visitors in the border area.

The main idea of the festival is to bring participants from Slovakia and Hungary changes in gastronomic habits of people living in similar conditions from the Middle Ages to the present. The municipality of Čižatice is close to the place where the Battle of Rozhanovce took place. The municipality of Mogyoróska is close to the Régec Castle. Both these territories historically belonged to the important Omodej family.
Events will provide the opportunity to present dishes prepared by partners on-site. In the two border regions medieval, Abovian and Hungarian gastronomy will be presented to the participants. Similarly, the newly built additional infrastructure at the watchtower „Čerešenka“ will provide space for visitors to spend their free time. A new stone monument of the Battle of Rozhanovce will provide information on the significance of this place.
Mutual cooperation will support Hungarian-Slovak relations on both sides of the border, motivate to preserve the Hungarian and Slovak gastronomy culture through a festival that will be accessible to all visitors. This cooperation can also serve as a good example for other municipalities and organizations in the border region that are not in close vicinity to the border and are interested in cooperating, learning about customs, traditions, territory and nature on the other side of the border.
