The primary objective of the project "Nature Knows No Boundaries" is an educational aspect. In an innovative and playful way, we will present young people the importance of protecting the environment. Through an adventure cruise in the programme region, we will discover, accompanied by experts, a variety of fauna and flora. The outcome of the joint research will be a Slovak-Hungarian book documenting the experience on the Bodrog River, which, ignoring the state borders, creates a suitable environment for protected and protection needing habitats and people. In this way, the participants will be able to gain a broader perspective and thinking leading to responsible and respectful behaviour towards natural wealth. And not just in the Bodrog River basin. By understanding links between human activity and nature, the gained experience and the outcomes of the project will become a useful guide in their future life. The project will culminate in a film festival, during which an exhibition of photos from the life of the Bodrog River and an exhibition of art works of children will take place. The aim is to promote children's creativity and to develop their ability to express themselves without words – through artistic means of expression. They will not only be passive users and recipients, but will also play an active creative role in society. A specific objective of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the border region. Through cultural, educational and nature conservation activities, the project will bring together people living in the Bodrog River basin in Slovakia and Hungary for one good social goal. In the long run, the project and various forms of its promotion will contribute to increasing the number of visitors in the programme region and boosting tourism.
